The mystery behind flight sq-784

inkwell, October 15, 2025

It was 2:00 am at Changi Airport flight SQ-784 going from Singapore to Australia. The captain of the aircraft was checking if the plane was good to go for the 7 hour journey. As the captain, Ereen entered the cockpit the co pilot Shinzo followed behind him. Ereen told Shinzo to get the plane ready as they would soon start boarding. Ereen checked if the cabin of the 787 was clean and in good condition, he also checked if there were enough blankets and pillows for the passengers.

Once people started boarding the plane ,Shinzo started the engines and Ereen requested for the fuelling of the aircraft and for pushback. He was informed that luggage had been loaded, the pushback was on its way and that fuelling had started. Ereen said “ copy that, thanks “ . Once fuelling had finished the pushback had arrived.
Ereen introduced himself to the passengers and requested for them to put their seatbelts on as the plane was about to take off. As the 787 lined up with the runway, Shinzo did some last checks and told Ereen “we are ready, you can request for takeoff” . The aircraft was cleared for takeoff. The plane took off smoothly and reached at the cruising altitude.

After about 30 minutes Ereen noticed that there was going to be a storm ahead. Ereen assumed it would be slight turbulence so he turned the seatbelt sign on and informed the passengers about the situation. As the aircraft approached the storm it started shaking a bit. But what happened next was extremely shocking.
The 787’s engines had failed and they started to nose dive but because Ereen was an experienced pilot he managed to stabilise the aircraft and fire start the engines.

After about 4 hours the plane had reached Australia but when the doors to the aircraft opened only the pilots came out of the plane and all the passengers and crew were missing. The pilots were put through questioning but they didn’t know anything.

That day a lot of new questions had arrived to the book full of unsolved questions.
